Vote for Jeff Dubois & Attitude City!

Thursday, August 25th, 2005

Attitude City DJ Jeff Dubois has been nominated for a Minnesota Music Award (MMA) for “Best DJ” (category 28 on the ballot). We’re not quite sure how all of this came about, but we suspect that it must be primarily due to his good looks, charming personality and muscular body. Regardless of the reason, we’ll take it!! Pledge your allegiance by filling out a ballot. But hurry!! Ballots must be submitted by no later than this Saturday August 27th!!

For more info check out the MMA website.

Thanks and good night.

Huge respect: Bob Moog

Wednesday, August 24th, 2005

Bob Moog passes away at 71.

It’s officially the end of an era — Bob Moog, inventor of one of the first widely adopted electronic musical instruments, the Moog synthesizer, died yesterday at his home in Asheville, North Carolina.

He was diagnosed with brain cancer in April of this year. There is no public memorial planned, but fans and friends are invited to send remembrances and wishes here. His family has established the Bob Moog Foundation in his honor, dedicated to the advancement of electronic music.

Let’s take a moment of silence… Or a moment of pink noise modulated by a sawtooth LFO controlling the cutoff of a lowpass 24db filter.

Attitude City: Boombox Edition.

Wednesday, August 10th, 2005

This Saturday August 13th Attitude City returns to King & I Thai for a special broadcast event. This night only we will be simulcasting our set within the restaurant. Bring your walkman or boombox, tune in and rock out.

How it works:
We will provide a low power FM signal that you will be able to tune in with from your table using your radio at a frequency TBD. Simply bring a battery-powered boombox, ghetto blaster, walkman or other protable audio device with an AM/FM tuner and set it to the correct frequency. Our music will emanate from your speakers as you sip blender drinks and carry on about your stock portfolio performance and real estate acquisitions. Thrilling!

Your saturday night checklist:

o Hot 70’s, 80’s or 90’s fashion dress
o Lots of accessories to complement your hot fashion dress
o Boombox or other portable audio device with an AM/FM tuner
o Batteries for above
o Money to spend on drinks and to give to the attitude city DJ’s
o Insatiable desire to sip on rum or tequila fortified blender drinks
o Libido (fully charged like a scorpio overdosing on aphrodisiacs)
o Attitude
