We at Attitude City have been extremely thrilled about how well the Thursday night weekly has been going at Nami. We’re even going to go as far as stating that we think it will become the Twin Cities hottest new weekly and – the place to be – on Thursday nights this summer.

How can you go wrong? As always – we are guaranteeing no cover, insane $3 drinks specials, a classy atmosphere, nice people, and a sexy, funky soundtrack that will have you grinding your frustrations into the floor with the soles of your shoes!

Furthermore, as we move into June and July, we will begin to start rotating some of the Twin Cities best DJ’s along side of us. So far we have started conversations with the likes of Simply Bill, E-Tones, Ben Rebok, Jobot, Andrew Wood, and Daniel Paul, just to name a few…

For you audiophiles and collectors out there – This beauty was released on the infamous West End Records in 1983 and was written and produced by none other than Jay “Mixin” Dixon, the notorious house DJ who became famous for playing these types of songs on urban radio in San Francisco in the late 70’s and early 80’s. This is the perfect jam to kick back to on a hot June night with a cuba libra in hand. It is one of my personal favorites.

Yes it’s true — international DJ superstar Karl Frankowski will be back from London England to retake the helm of Attitude City along side his nifty cohort ]eff Dubois.

Last Thursday’s opening for the new Salon industry night at Nami with Dave Shaw & ]eff Dubois was spectacular… and this Thursday shall be no different!

That’s right, lovers –> Montreal’s super star Attitude City DJ/producer David Shaw will be gracing us with his extra-terrestrial disco love-making skills not once but *TWICE* this weekend in Minneapolis!

First: He will be introducing our new Thursday night weekly entitled “The Salon” at Nami in Minneapolis along side Attitude City DJ ]eff Dubois. (Attitude City DJ Karl Frankowski was supposed to be present, but he had more pressing engagements to attend to overseas in London, UK ).

Second: Dave Shaw will be also party-rocking Attitude City style at the infamous Sevnthsin/Eighthourday annual design studio party extravaganza! Be there or be square as Attitude City kicks out the jams this Saturday May 20, 8:00pm untill the crack of mutha fook’in dawn! You know the drill: Simply tune your radio into 97.7 FM and rock out with us. We purchased a stronger transmitter so this means that all you smokers can take your boombox outside with you and still rock out to our ultra-fresh, attitude-infused jams!!

We have also heard rumors that attitude city aficionado Jeff Mitchell will be revealing a top secret, newly designed boombox prototype that could cause a revolution in the boombox community.
