The Salon @ Nami feat. Attitude City

Join us tonight for our xxxtra hott weekly at Nami.

This week we have a special request of our fans. We’re making a short film to tell the story of Attitude City and need some footage of our most awesome fans rocking out with us at Nami. If you’re an Attitude City fanatic, tonight is your chance to show your support. Wear something awesome, get your hair did, do whatever it takes to get ready to PARTY. Then come down and show us all what Attitude City really means to you. We will love you forever.

PS: Plans for the Attitude City Yacht Club have been solidified. The Date is August 26th, the yacht is The Queen of Excelsior. Look for fliers and tickets to be available next week. Space is VERY limited – the cruise WILL sell out.

Attitude City – (Really) Hot Summer Nights @ Nami

The Salon @ Nami feat. Attitude City

Imagine – you’re perched at the ever-stylish Nami Bar ordering a round of refreshing spirits from the distinguished bartender, Terrence. It’s swelteringly hot outside. Beads of sweat drip from the edge of your chilled lo-ball glass – also from your forehead. A breath emanates deep from within as you press your icy elixir to your brow. The intense cold sends a chill through every inch of your body.

Pulsing electro-disco beats fill the air. As the track swells an attractive specimen cozies up next to you at the bar and whispers in your ear, “wanna party?”

This is Attitude City.

Every Thursday night @ Nami

Plain Ole Bill – Thursday July 6 @ Nami!

Busted Again!

We hope you all had a safe and relaxing holiday weekend. We had a blast, except for when the cops came and busted up our shit, which always seems to happen when we throw private parties. To be honest, we think the cops have just subscribed to our mailing list… it’s the only possible explanation.

On to bigger and better things: We are very excited to start inviting special guests to play with us at our Thursday night weekly at Nami! To kick it all off, we are ecstatic to have someone we’ve had our eyes/ears on for awhile now –> Plain ‘Ole Bill.

Bill first caught our ear with his involvement with the legendary Let’s Get Electric nights at 1st Ave. For those of you who don’t know, Let’s Get Electric is run by some of the Twin Cities most talented and respected DJ’s and record collectors, including Plain ‘Ole Bill, Mike 2600, King Otto, Espada and DJ Nikoless.

Bill has been DJ’ing since 1999, and is known for his skills behind the decks. He currently runs Fith Element’s monthly hip hop show Essential Elements at the Dinkytowner. He is also in the six man rotation on Rhymesayers’ weekly KFAI radio show: RSE radio (Saturdays 9-11pm). Bill currently DJ’s for Musab (of Rhymesayers Ent.), who has an album due out in Fall 2006.

Although his roots are in hip hop, his record collection spans everything we love, ranging from boogie to disco to funk, soul, and r&b. We are honored to have him as our special guest this Thursday.
