HO HO HO! Christmas has come early for your eardrums, so leave some milk and cookies by the subwoofer. Tonight, Saturday, December 16th, CompactDisco is honoured to cut the ribbon and pull back the red curtain on Tokyo Nightclub’s new 2nd room soundsystem. All subs, woofers, tweeters and amps were sent off on a romantic spa getaway where they received daily massages and drank high protein shakes. They have returned sounding fit, warm and pants-crappingly bassy, so be sure to compliment them as you walk by tonight.
Running the new system through the paces will be a deft selection of hits by our favourite moustachioed music moguls, so expect a spectrum of goodies from Todd Terje to Gino Soccio. This will be the last CompactDisco of 2006, as our evening takes a two week holiday hiatus till January 6th of the new year. It’s your chance dance like you were an orphan just adopted by Santa Claus.

This week, special guest and long-time rebel-rouser David Lahteenmaah (plainclothes Dj Delphi) joins resident David Shaw behind the tight squeeze that is Tokyo’s Blue Room DJ booth to play his absolute faves from times of yore. Whipping a little yuletide ass will be a diverse selection of schnappy breaks, heavy-cream house and yolky disco, blended up into an audio eggnogg guaranteed to take your booty home for a fireside snuggle.
