Laaaast chance for romance, Loose Jointers!
Well, not the last, so let’s call it our summer hiatus send-off: ATTITUDE CITY EDITION. After this Friday, the night goes on hold until September – we can’t really say much more than that at this point (top secret developments in the works! Stay tuned!) suffice to say that we will return bigger, badder and buffer than ever.
As this is a special occassion, we went all out and booked the Godfather of Montreal disco himself, ROBERT OUIMET. A DJ/Producer since the early 70s, Robert is a significant figure in the history of modern dance music whose contributions helped make the scene what it is today. For eight years he held a residency at Limelight, a local disco insitution frequented by the likes of Grace Jones and Mick Jagger. In the studio, he’s worked with Gino Soccio – Canada’s answer to Giorgio Moroder – and Francine McGhee of “Delirium” fame (very huge song). He’s released tracks on TK Records, RFC, Quality Records, and his own imprint, Mikrobe Recordings. Oh, and he won a Juno For best Dance record in 1991.

It’s official! Attitude City sets sail Saturday, July 21st at 8pm.
The backstory: Last year, tickets sold out almost immediately and it’s pretty safe to say the 2006 Yacht Club was the party that defined the summer for those who managed to get on board. Since then, literally every single time we go out, we’re asked “When is the next Yacht Club?” If you were paying close attention, you would know we made a save the date announcement a few weeks back, and now we’re 100% confirmed. Saturday, July 21 is Attitude City Yacht Club 2007!!
Once again we’ve secured the fantastically opulent Queen of Excelsior, the largest yacht on lake Minnetonka. Last year’s party-people will recall its amazing light up dance floor, the two fully stocked bars, the unique sexy crowd and the seductive electronic disco sounds that rocked the yacht like a hurricane. Expect the same this time around… x10!
Tickets go on sale today. The price is $30. There are three ways you can get your boarding pass.
1). Email your full name and the number of tickets you would like to attitudecity@gmail.com. We will invoice you via paypal and once you complete the transaction your spot will be guaranteed. You will retrieve your tickets from our boat-side will-call the night of the cruise. There is an additional $1.50 fee per ticket for online transactions. This is by far the best way to ensure your spot on board.
2). Drop by our Bon Voyage party and buy direct from one of the DJs. Bon Voyage is our Yacht Club pre-party and it takes place at Clubhouse Jaeger, Saturday July 14th, 10pm-2am. If tickets have not sold out they will be available at this event (cash only please).
3). We’re selling blocks of tickets to businesses that support local fashion/art/culture. If you’re interested in purchasing a block to distribute to employees, friends or whoever, email us with the specifics of your request and we’ll arrange something.
